How To Join

Masonry does not seek members. Every man that walks through the door seeking membership, must do so of their own free will and accord. By reaching out to us, you will have taken the first step in seeking membership.

Membership Requirements.
– Belief in a Supreme Being.
– Belief in the immortality of the soul.
– Be a man.
– Be at least 18 years old.
– Be of good moral character.

Becoming a Mason is not for everyone. A man must be willing to inculcate the practices of self-reflection, self-discipline, and service to others above all else. Our members are held to high standards and are expected to be upright in all their dealings. Freemasonry requires a considerable level of commitment. While there is no obligation to attend all meetings, being an active participant will make your progress through the Degrees of Freemasonry a much more enjoyable experience and strengthen the bonds of Brotherhood all Masons feel for each other.

Once you have shown interest in learning more about our Lodge and Freemasonry, you will be invited to attend dinner with us before our Business Meeting. That evening, a member will be assigned to introduce you to other members and give you a tour of our building. You are encouraged to ask as many questions as you may have. We believe in practicing our Fellowship out in the open, therefore you may be invited to join us in our various social events and gatherings which the members will inform you about.

If and when you have determined that you would like to petition for membership, you may request a petition from our Petitions Committee. Once you have filled out your petition, you will be responsible to seek out two members of the Lodge to vouch for you and your fitness to be a Mason by placing their signatures upon your petition as recommendations. Having completed that, you will need to submit your petition to the Petitions Committee who will inform you and keep you updated on the following steps.

If elected to membership, our Secretary will contact you and a date will be set for your Initiation.

The Three Symbolic Degrees of Freemasonry

Entered
Apprentice

This is a candidate’s first experience with the ceremonies of the Fraternity, it is a solemn and meaningful event. Once a candidate completes the Entered Apprentice Degree, he takes his first step as a Freemason and enjoys the title of “Brother.”

Fellow
Craft

The second ceremony exposes a Brother to more of the symbolism and philosophy of the Fraternity. For skilled Craftsmen, this degree would have marked a person’s progress from an apprentice to a journeyman.

Master
Mason

The last of the Blue Lodge ceremonies, the Master Mason Degree, makes a candidate a full member of the Fraternity, enjoying both the rights and responsibilities of membership. There is no higher degree in Freemasonry.
